My soulmate 5000 miles away

June 2022, did meet online Juliet, a friend from a friend. Juliet was working in Saudi Arabia as a Maid. I was not interested in a long distance relationship (LDR) but we start video call on messenger and start talking a few times. Juliet was working in Saudi Arabia for the last 4 years with no day’s off, no holiday, did not see her 3 kids now 9,10,12 year old for 4 years. Juliet and other maids did not had they own bedroom, they was sleeping in a room with chairs and light on all night. No privacy, on call 12 / 14 hours a day. When i ask her to make so many sacrificed she must be earning good money ? she reply she get around £10 a day !

In Philippine a good wage working 7am to 7pm 6 days a week (Sunday off) would be around £5 a day so for Juliet she was earning good money !

I manage to convince Juliet to go back home in Philippine with her family and I would send her £350 a month. Juliet did cone home. I was worried she may go back to Saudi Arabia so I book a fly ticket for the Philippine (Davao del sud) for November 2022. No string attached, Just wanted to meet the women i was helping to rebuild her life. Have a coffee and if we don’t like each other, go in each other way.

On my arrival in Philippine, I meet Juliet with some of her friend. I did not recognize her at first, Juliet was more beautiful face to face than our video call. For both of us it was love in first sight. We stay together with her family and alone for 2 weeks . The best time of my life. We talk about getting married as i did not wanted to lose her. Long distance relationship would not last. If married I would have to fight for out together forever. We find a priest willing to married us as long as I send all papers work needed in 3 weeks after the marriage. We got married on 30 November 2022.. My wife and her family manage to organise everything in 2 days . A magical day. The next day I fly back to UK Scotland . Now 16 months after, we talk, video call almost everyday.
